Evening Walk

Hey everyone! I wanted to post more often on my blog, so I thought I would share with you an evening walk that my Dad and I went on with Daisy down the beach. It was such a lovely evening, and some of the pictures came out quite well!

Its not super interesting, but I wanted to share it with you anyway.

Hope you've all had a wonderful day! Keep smiling xxxx

Coursework Inspiration

Hey everyone!

So I get a lot of people asking me about my art, and how I come up with ideas for my A Level sketchbooks! Because so many of you seem to take an interest I decided to make a Pinterest board purely for coursework inspiration, that I myself also take ideas from for my own work! I thought that this would be the best way to help you guys out, seeing as I can't post my current work online yet!

I hope this is helpful for everyone, I've tried to pin a variety of things from textiles to fashion to fine art to graphic design! I take inspiration from all of these different things even if its not the exact same subject, sometimes the smallest thing can give you a good idea of your own so its always worth looking at a range of different sources.

Hope you've all had a wonderful day, and stay awesome!
Lots of love xx

Makeup and Skincare

Hey guys! So you're always asking me what makeup I use and what products I use on my skin, so I decided to write a blog post on it to show you all! I wasn't really sure how to go about it, so I hope this is beneficial for you all and isn't too boring :) I'll link all of the products that I post so that you can go and buy them too if you wish!

To start off, here are the skincare products that I use on my face before makeup, and when I take it all off at night before I go to bed!

I start by using the Clean and Clear Morning Energy facial scrub (here), which comes out of the bottle as a sparkly gold colour which makes it 5293820x more awesome! It makes my skin feel so soft and fresh, and the lemon and papaya extracts smell SUPER good! If its the morning, I then use the Nivea Refreshingly Soft moisturiser (here), which has to be the best moisturiser I've ever used! It goes onto your skin so nicely, and feels like it genuinely helps your skin rather than just sitting on top of it collecting oils and other icky things. I also use this moisturiser whenever I have a breakout, as it seems to clear it up pretty much overnight which is a lifesaver. I then apply my makeup!

If it's the evening and I'm getting ready for bed, I'll usually use the Simple Spotless Skin: Anti Blemish Moisturiser (here), as its slightly thicker than the Nivea moisturiser so I feel it helps my skin better overnight. It also really helps to clear up any breakouts that I may be suffering with.

Next onto my daily essentials for my makeup (sorry this is already so long!). All the brushes I use are Real Techniques, and you can find them pretty much anywhere online. I find them so much better than other brushes I've tried, so definitely give them a go. I use the No.7 Stay Perfect foundation in the shade Calico (here). This is probably my all time favourite foundation, as it stays on ALL DAY (and I really mean all day), and the colour is perfect for my skin! It doesn't look cakey at all and just generally goes on so nicely. I apply my foundation with the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.

I then use the No.7 Perfect Light Pressed Powder in the shade Fair (here). This works so nicely on my skin, and although I don't often like powders on top of foundation because they make my makeup cake and go blotchy, this one doesn't at all! Its definitely a winner. I apply the powder with the Real Techniques Powder Brush. Lastly, my favourite highlight/bronzer/facial-beautifying-thing ever, the Topshop Highlighter in the shade Horizon (here). Its honestly the most perfect mix of bronzer and highlighter, and its all I ever use on my cheeks! It makes you look like you've been on a weekend break somewhere sunny, and who doesn't want that?? I apply it with the Real Techniques Blush Brush.

Eyebrows and eyelashes! For my eyelashes I use either the MaxFactor Masterpiece MAX Mascara (here), or the Rimmel London Wonder'full Mascara (here). Both of these are super, they don't clog up on my lashes (which is a pet peeve of mine), and they make them look naturally long and luscious! For my eyebrows I then start by using the Maybelline Brow Satin Pencil (here), which has a pencil one end and a kinda... eyeshadow thing the other end?? It sounds super weird but it works a treat, and looks really natural compared to using a pencil to fill the WHOLE of your brow in (which I always used to do, very very badly). I then use the Clarins Perfect Eyes and Brows pallet (here), which I got for my birthday. I use the angled brush to neaten up any edges that the pencil may have missed, and the wand (in the middle) to blend everything together in with my natural brows so it doesn't just look like they've been COMPLETELY drawn on.

Depending on my mood (and the time I have left before I have to leave for college), I then use some of my Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow! I have the Naked 2 (here) and Naked 3 (here) pallets, and they're some of the nicest colours I've ever seen. They all work really well with my skincolour, and they stay all day rather than others I've used that have just rubbed off after a few hours. They are expensive, but personally I feel they're definitely worth saving up for!

Onto the lips! I wear lipstick most days, as I feel it really completes the look and can make you feel glam on the outside even if you're not feeling it on the inside. I have many (and I mean MANY) lipsticks, although these are my current faves!
From left to right:
  • Maybelline Colourstay Stripped Nude in the shade Honey Beige (here)
  • Maybelline Colourstay Stripped Nude in the shade Tantalising Taupe (here)
  • Bourjois Rouge Edition in the shade Rouge Jet Set 13 (here)
  • Topshop Lips in the shade Wicked (here)
  • Sainsbury's Boutique Lipstick in the shade In The Buff (I couldn't find it online)
  • H&M Lipstick in the shade Down Town (here)
  • M.A.C Cosmetics Lipstick in the shade Ramblin' Rose (here)
  • L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Collection Exclusive in the shade Eva's Pure Red (here)
  • Rimmel Lasting Finish in the shade Heather Shimmer 66 (here)
For my day to day looks, I either use one of these lipsticks on its own or I mix it up a bit and put a couple on at once to change the colour slightly! It all depends on how I'm feeling at the time.

I'm SO SORRY this has been such a long post, I can literally ramble on forever about makeup! I hope this wasn't too boring, and gives you a little insight into my daily routine :)

Thank you so much for reading it all (if you made it all the way to the end that is), and I hope you all had a wonderful day!
Lots of love xx
